  • Responsibilities

    The human resource Assistant/Generalist is responsible for performing HR Generalist-related duties on a professional level provide administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations.

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Ensure that personnel files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Prepare, schedule and complete new hire paperwork, ensuring that the background check, drug screen, physical and TB are completed in accordance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, as well as JSH Policies and Procedures.
    • Audit Nursing certifications and licensure for expiration on a monthly basis. Sends out notices to effected associates and follows-up with renewal
    • Serves as a technical resource to employees and management providing guidance in the understanding and application of policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and maintain all annual regulatory compliance requirements regarding (For example CNA certification verification, OIG, Sanction Checks, driving record check's, I9 recertification's etc.)
    • File, update, review, and reconcile paper and electronic documents, including personnel records
    • Process Personnel Action Requests
    • Coordinate New Hire Orientation
    • Assist with Onboarding process
    • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, company policies, HR event, etc.
    • Provide administrative support to the team
    • Assist with travel arrangements and logistics for team meetings
    • Assist with data projects, paperwork, and administrative tasks

     

     

    Required Skills

    ● To be organized, with an unusually high attention to detail

    ● General data entry and administrative skills

    ● An ability to analyze information and make recommendations

    ● A demonstrated ability to take the initiative and complete work independently (with limited supervision), manage your time, and work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

    ● An ability to listen, speak, write, and communicate well in English

    ● A sensitivity to confidential information and good judgement about when and what to share

    ● Working knowledge of computer systems, software, apps, and a comfort using the internet

    ● An ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members and customers

     

     

    Required Experience

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Associate Degree is preferred.

    MIMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a clerical, secretarial, administrative position. Computer literacy, Effective communication and organizational skills
