The Licensed Practical Nurse assists the Registered Nurse in the delivery of nursing care. In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse assists in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.

Required Skills Required Experience

Must be licensed to practice nursing as a LPN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, partner agencies, the public, and stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with short-term or long-range transportation planning
• Familiarity with quantitative methods, ARCGIS, travel demand modeling, or similar software and ability to use these tools
• Sensitivity to cultural, socioeconomic and political issues in the community
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Self-motivation
• Innovative problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Must be detail-oriented
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
