    TRI POINTE GROUP IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP AS A DIRECTOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO).

     

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: The Director Project Management Office (PMO) partners with executives, managers, and subject matter experts to ensure that business projects are executed effectively and efficiently. The PMO oversees projects and develops and maintains project management methodologies, standards, and tools. This leader will manage and deliver solutions that maximize business value from IT investments.  He/she is responsible for recruiting, developing, and leading a team of high performing technical project management resources to ensure that TRI Pointe Group has well managed IT capabilities.  The ideal candidate is a professional who has previously worked in a Senior Project Manager, Program Manager or PMO Director, with a proven track record of successful project delivery, an ability to improve project management practices and substantial hands on project management experience with a focus on coaching project teams through to successful delivery of projects on budget, on time while maximizing the optimal use of project team resources.

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Developing and leading the project/program management office (PMO). The PMO is a Center of Excellence that helps achieve better quality, consistency, and oversight of technology projects across an enterprise by developing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards, and tools
    • Establish the Organization’s approach to the full life cycle of technology projects. This includes everything from project planning, initiation, communication, resourcing, and execution to monitoring, control and completion
    • Ensuring the PMO meets performance targets: Align with the organization’s strategic objectives and adhere to best practices
    • Working alongside business and technology leaders to help determine which technology projects should be undertaken ‘why’ and ‘when’, not just ‘how’
    • Develop, document, and institutionalize project and product management standards across the IT organization
    • Focus on areas within the PMO including Project Management Governance, Project Team Leadership, Project Tracking and Monitoring and Project Prioritization
    • Recruit, develop, nurture, and guide a team of high performing project managers. Create conditions for staff members to learn and grow through their work
    • Identify long and short-term opportunities to outsource functions that can be managed more effectively by third party experts vs. in-house resources
    • Partner with Directors’ of Business Systems, Customer Solutions, and infrastructure to manage for successful project outcome effectively and efficiently
    • Other duties as assigned.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS/BA required in Computer Science or other related major required. Masters degree is a plus
    • Minimum of 10 years expert level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches (e.g. Project and Portfolio Management Methodology PPM) required.
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is required
    • PgMP (Program Management Professional) or other relevant professional certifications is a plus
    • Ability to juggle multiple project goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture
    • Budget, Cost and Resource Scheduling management skills
    • Knowledge of resource management tools
    • Credibility as a senior level project leader with resilience and resourcefulness
    • Exceptional organizational skills and project management experience to include successful management of large-scale company-wide initiatives and implementations.
    • Have hands-on experience with Project Management Tools including Microsoft Project, Asana, and SharePoint solutions
    • Construction and or Homebuilder industry experience a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills - a skilled business professional who communicates effectively with all levels of end-users and management.
    • Experience and demonstrated ability with sound business decision making practices.
    • Ability to work major projects and manage multiple priorities with minimum supervision is a must.
    • The following skills/experiences managing large scale projects are pluses:
      • Implementation and management of internet and intranet web applications solutions
      • Working knowledge of development and integration standards and utilities
      • Package software such as JD Edwards E1 9.2, Sales Force CRM systems
      • Agile development technologies and standards

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience. A.S degree preferred or an equivalent demonstration of education and experience.  Graduate of heath/ medical assistant or similar training program from an accredited institution where general laboratory technique is taught. Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.

         

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English.  Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

              

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

       

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to perform all duties with accuracy and attention to detail

      

    Computer Skills:
