    JOB SNAP SHOT:

    North Penn Water Authority is growing! We are currently expanding our Engineering department and are looking to partner with Engineering Technicians to provide technical support for water main design and various other projects and activities.

    A TYPICAL DAY:

    As a part of the engineering team you will be actively collaborating on capital improvement projects, system analysis and water main extension designs.

    1. You will be utilizing AutoCAD to design water main piping, developing cost estimates, hiring of contractors and ensuring the project runs smoothly.
    2. You will spend time in the field conducting investigations, hydrant flow and pump tests, and other various test and activities.
    3. You will assist with system analysis, assessment, prioritization, design, permitting and bidding of all water main improvement projects and special projects.
    4. You create engineering estimates for NPWA water system improvement and maintenance, for inclusion in our yearly capital budget.
    5. You will be involved with feasibility studies related to system improvements such as system expansion, pressure and flow studies, leak management and other special studies as well as providing engineering services for other departments.

    YOUR EXPERIENCES:

    • You have an AS in Engineering Technology or related discipline from an accredited institution and/or has 2-4 years of similar experience.
    • You have a valid driver's license.
    • You have a familiarity with hydraulic modeling and hydraulics engineering.
    • It would be great if you have worked with AutoCAD, ArcGIS Pro software and Excel.
