New, Va-based Bed & Breakfast, property rental, and weddings/special events venue is looking for a marketing major to help me (sole proprietor) conduct outreach to our potential guests/clients.

As a historic, riverfront property 30 miles northeast of Richmond and two hours southeast of DC, in the heart of Civil and Revolutionary War country, we have really no end to potential markets. I foresee yoga and religious retreats, Civil War tourists and academic meetings, workshops, girls getaway, family reunions, holiday and corporate gatherings, on and on. I have been trying to pursue all angles myself but I need marketing help.

This is a great opportunity for someone to put their class knowledge into practical use. I attended a VA Tourism Corporation seminar last week and learned about many many more marketing opportunities that are open to us. In the next couple of months alone, I will be creating brochures, rack cards; developing partnerships with area wineries and leisure-related businesses; suggested travel itineraries for guests, for example.
