    POSITION SUMMARY

    The International Trade Compliance Specialist – Generalist is a member of the central WINA International Trade Compliance team focused on the operational needs at the individual operating companies providing support in the implementation of the WINA International Trade Compliance Program.  The ITC Specialist - Generalist is the liason in and amongst the WINA central team and the various operating companies, assisting with all international trade compliance responsibilities and ensuring these responsibilities are monitored and managed.  This person’s responsibilities will include: active participation and completion of classification for use in import/export; assistance with the development and implementation of work instructions necessary to meet WINA International Trade Compliance Program policies;  providing assistance with the implementation of the recordkeeping process; daily oversight of import/export operational activities; generation of documentation necessary for import/export to occur; enabling compliance at the individual company level by providing any necessary support and assistance which may be required; and any necessary activities to be undertaken in sustaining a firm knowledge of the company’s business partners, relative to import/export requirements to conduct business. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participate in and assist with the development of the WINA International Trade Compliance Program across the WINA enterprise;
    • Participate in the implementation of the WINA International Trade Compliance Program at the company level;
    • Oversee the execution of the recordkeeping process;
    • Assist with the management and validation of daily import/export filings;
    • Collaborate and coordinate with the WINA International Trade Compliance team, the operating company, and third party entities involved in international trade in effecting compliance throughout all levels of the organization;
    • Provide assistance related to import/export awareness, practices, policies, work instructions, and activities as necessary;
    • Facilitate business partner screenings and other activities necessary to establish the viability of all business partners in accordance embargoes, trade sanctions, and other such edicts;
    • Execute work instructions to facilitate import/export compliance within the operating company;
    • Participate in and assist with investigations, assessments, audits, and activities related to disclosures, rulings, and commodity jurisdictions;
    • Be a knowledgeable representative of the company, and the WINA International Trade Compliance function, with external auditors, government officials, trade advisory groups, customs brokers, etc.;
    • Utilize detailed reporting skills in the production and analysis of data related to import/export activities; and
    • Perform other related duties, projects, support, or assistance as required to accomplish the objectives of the position and overall compliance.

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Associates Degree in Business, Procurement, or related field, related certifications or equivalent experience.
    • Knowledge of and experience with regulatory compliance.
    • Experience in implementing, managing, and administering import/export compliance programs, or various elements thereof, a plus.

    • Travel estimated at 10% - 15%

    *Adhere to all airport and facility regulations regarding proper security and identification procedures, including correct escort responsibilities and challenge procedures.

    *Comply with all safety regulations, methods, and procedures required by WFS, USPS, airport, and all applicable government agencies

    *Advice Supervisor immediately regarding any hazardous materials (HAZ-MAT) cargo and/or any irregularities (e.g., spills, damaged items, pilferage, etc.).

    *Compliance with WFS policy for reporting injuries, incidents, damage, and theft:

    • Report ALL injuries, incidents, damage, and/or theft immediately to the Supervisor.

    *Ability to lift 70 lbs.  No exceptions.
