  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Responsible and accountable for assisting the Registered Dietician for the Dietary Department operations and training of Dietary staff

    Responsible to fill vacant dietary positions in the absence of the cook/aide

    Responsible for ensuring the Dietary department excels in cleanliness and sanitation

    Responsible and accountable for patient satisfaction with all aspects of dietary services

    Responsible for ordering food and dietary department supplies

    Responsible and accountable for catering for Hospital meetings and special events.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Certification as a Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) and credentialed by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers preferred
    • Certification as a Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) and credentialed by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers within the first year of employment
    • High School/GED diploma or GED required.
    • ServSafe Certification preferred.
    • 5 years’ experience in the food industry in a health care facility
    • Management Experience preferred
    • Computer experience with Microsoft Word required
    • Computer experience with supply order systems required
    • Experience with Electronic Ordering system required
    • Active CPR certification required within 3 months of hire
