    Job Description

    NSI's Responsible Level 3 manages all North Star’s Scanning Services locations; harmonizing operations, optimizing resources, and ensuring consistency and efficiency while driving the company towards its strategic goals.

    What you will do:

    • Oversee daily operations at all scanning service locations.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor site location personnel to create a high performing team.
    • Manage Budgets, control operational expenses, and drive efficiency initiatives across all NSI scanning locations.
    • Work with Scanning Services Business Unit Manager on monitoring financial performance, analyzing KPI’s, and implementing strategies to improve profitability.
    • Maintain and enhance quality standards and ensure consistency in our product/service delivery across all locations.
    • Update and further implement quality control measures, audits, and training programs to achieve consistent excellence at all scanning service locations.
    • Identify operational inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement efforts to streamline lab processes.
    • Ensure all locations adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks such as security, safety, training, and logistical challenges.
    • Develop contingency plans for unexpected disruptions or emergencies.
    • Has ability to create, administer & manage internal training & testing programs for Level I, Level II, and Level III for all US sites in accordance with NAS410.
    • Contribute & actively communicate inside and outside of NSI as an expert in the field.
    • Perform Inspection Services through NSI’s ISG department (as needed).
    • Work directly with customers on DR & CT techniques
    • Serve as a representative of NSI in the Industry (ex. ASNT, ASTM, etc.)
    • Maintain NSI Procedures and Work instructions for compliance with Customer & Industry Standards.
    • Support implementing quality programs including AS9100 and/or NADCAP as required.
    • Qualify and Certify NSI personnel In accordance with WIISG004
      • Internal and External Audits
      • Procedure in Work Instruction Development
    • Perform Supplier Audits and Conformance.
    • Creating and implementing procedures, work instructions, and other necessary requirements for image interpretation.
    • Prepare weekly/monthly reports and performance metrics
    • Address customer feedback and resolve service-related issues.
    • Travel up to 50%, domestic and international.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    What you will bring:

    • Minimum of 5 years X-ray, CT and NDT experience.
    • ASNT RT Level 3 preferred.
    • NAS 410 Level 3 in Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Tomography (CT).
    • Advanced Technique Development in DR and CT.
    • Managing a group or team of people
    • Certification with CT Post Processing Software – Volume Graphics
    • Understanding and implementation of ASTM E2698 and E3375
    • Interpretation of many materials and manufacturing processes
