** POSITION PURPOSE:**
In support of the Northwind IT Infrastructure organization, this position will act in the role of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft SQL database technology, involving the application of routine SQL principles, including: Creation, Performance, Maintenance and overall operability between databases and applications. They will be responsible for management of compute resources, operations, support, and maintenance activities as assigned for databases as well as the underlying technology. In this role, the individual will be part of a team that operates on day-to-day activities in support of break-fix, data calls, audits and general support tickets assigned to the SQL DBA team.
