    POSITION PURPOSE:

    In support of the Northwind IT Infrastructure organization, this position will be part of a team responsible for managing our Continuous Diagnostic Monitoring applications environment supporting our DOE and Hanford cyber security initiatives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists in the planning, setup, installation, testing, training, deployment in Dev/Test environments and Production as required for current and new applications.
    • Document Baseline Environments, configure, and manage software implementations and updates.
    • Analyzes, evaluates, and tests software and hardware to provide issue/problem resolution
    • Ensure applications are maintained with latest feature updates and security patches
    • Ability to normalize disparate logs from different systems in multiple formats to paint a cohesive picture of events occurring within the environment
    • Installs, configures, and maintain commercial off-the-shelf products
    • Regularly prepares activity and progress reports regarding support activities
    • Enforces best practices for IT security, procedures, and compliance management

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Must be a US Citizen capable of acquiring and maintaining a DOE Clearance

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in information management or related technical degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.
    • A minimum of two (4) years' experience in performing server application support in an enterprise environment

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience in IT service management and enterprise applications support within a mixed Windows/Linux environment.
    • Experience working with and supporting complete lifecycle for multi-tier COTS and GOTS applications
    • Experience working with Application server software.
    • Must understand application troubleshooting and optimization as it relates to a complex instrastructure.
    • The ability to obtain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge to meet cyber security requirements to have an elevated administrative account.
    • Ability to flex schedule or work during maintenance windows to minimize disruptions to operational systems for security patching and other activities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.

    QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

    • Experience supporting server based application on the Hanford Local Area Network.
    • Continuous Diagnostic Monitoring (CDM) experience
    • 2 - 4 Years Splunk, Carbon Black or like application experience, able to create monitoring points, run reports
    • Knowledge of Hanford Site policies, procedures, and processes.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to flex schedule or work during maintenance windows to minimize disruptions to operational systems for security patching and other activities. Work with Vendors to troubleshoot for resolution to issues or periods of application unavailability.
