Qualifications

• Willingness to share credit, work with others in a team environment, and define success collectively rather than individually
• Ability to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things
• Drive to be dependable, and to perform well against the expectations of the role
• Strong farm and ranch knowledge
• Must have the ability to become forklift certified and be over the age of 18, and have proven safety awareness
• Self starter willing to work in various outside conditions
• Knowledge of propane is helpful
• Must be able to provide phenomenal customer service for our North 40 guests
• Good communication skills; easily able to engage with and work well with others
• Physical ability to lift up to 80-100 lbs. frequently, spend up to 100% of work time, other than breaks, standing and moving, climbing and kneeling on concrete or hard surfaces; use of ladders and rolling staircases. Consistent adherence to safety standards
• Understanding of correct lifting techniques

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A YARD ASSOCIATE AT NORTH 40?

As a Yard Associate at North 40, you will bring energy and passion for helping farmers, ranchers and other hard working customers with big projects. As one of our Yard Associates, you would be responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, generating sales, stocking and merchandising product, and safeguarding company assets. If you can handle working outside in all kinds of weather, and are a friendly, upbeat, hard-worker who will strive to do their best on every project, we want to talk to you! Knowledge of outdoor merchandise such as fencing, cattle handling, lawn care and landscaping, trailers and hitches, etc. is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A YARD ASSOCIATE

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.
