Qualifications

• Willingness to share credit, work with others in a team environment, and define success collectively rather than individually
• Ability to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things
• Drive to be dependable, and to perform well against the expectations of the role
• Committed to supplying our North 40 guests with phenomenal customer service
• Knowledge of gardening and plants and/or Greenhouse experience a plus
• Cashier experience preferred
• Good communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with individuals on a regular basis
• Ability to work well with others and a willingness to learn
• Ability to multitask and take on different responsibilities when necessary
• Open availability and a willingness to meet shift requirements, including working on weekends and certain holidays
• Physical ability to work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 60 lbs. frequently, spend up to 100% of work time, other than breaks, standing and moving, climbing and kneeling on concrete or hard surfaces; use of forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and rolling staircases. Consistent adherence to safety standards
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques

As a Lawn & Garden Sales Associate at North 40, your main priority is to connect with our customers and be a genuine resource on our products. You play a key role in the overall customer experience by providing outstanding customer service, accurate product information, and solution recommendations for our customer’s needs. To support maintaining an impressive environment for our customers, you will help with stocking and merchandising products, and safeguarding company assets. WORK SCHEDULE FOR A LAWN & GARDEN ASSOCIATE

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.
