North 40 Outfitters in Lewiston, ID is looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to prove themselves and potentially move into the position of our Fly Shop Manager. If you have a passion for this sport and can prove yourself to up for this challenge, we are willing to train you to be a manager. As our Fly Shop Manager, you would be responsible for creating and running a fun, yet professional Fly Shop atmosphere, while also growing sales. In order to thrive in this position, you must have strong communication skills, advanced customer service abilities, and the ability to lead, build and empower the team.

Qualifications

• Fly fisher expertise! Must include knowledge of: Idaho hatches, fly tying, fly casting, how to set up reels with line on all types of gear, as well as, knowing knots, etc. 
• Ability to manage and ensure sales goals are met by tracking, evaluating options and managing resources
• Knowledge of visual diplays, timely management of inventory and taking pride in the look of a clean, sharply merchandised Fly Shop
• Ensure our North 40 guests receive "WOW" customer service by training your team to exceed customer expectations. Must be committed in resolving customer complaints, as well as, any staff conflicts in a professional and non-reactive manner
• Ability to build and motivate your team through empowerment, recognition, training, enusring delegation and resolving any team issues in a timely manner
• Must have the ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds on an occasional to repetitive basis; bend, squat, kneel, stoop and climb ladders regularly
• Knowledge of correct lifting and loading techniques
• Ability to meeet shift availability requirements, including working weekends and certain holidays, between the hours of 7AM to 7PM, and have flexibility in scheduling based on business needs
