FINANCIAL ANALYST - FP&A
This is a highly visible role reporting to and supporting the Director of FP&A of an international manufacturer.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management Reporting to include, preparing the monthly reports and analytical packages to support monthly Management and Board reporting. Emphasis will be on analyzing drivers of performance and any variances to forecast/budget and prior year.
- Additional tasks will be to highlight key trends, to identify opportunities/risks, and to develop insights and recommendations for to performance improvement.
- Financial Planning & Analysis including, supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Group functions (including allocation of General Management Fees to the businesses).
- Assist with the consolidated annual planning and budgeting process, including managing the timeline of key activities; developing major market forecasts and budget assumptions; issuing reporting templates; consolidating the individual business unit financials; and producing the necessary financial statements and presentations.
- Assist/lead ad hoc analyses as required.
- Capital Expenditure Analysis including, helping establish key financial management/reporting processes for capital projects.
- Work closely with the Business Segment CFO’s to drive analytical consistency and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
EXPERIENCE: One or more years of related experience
- Excellent financial modeling and MS Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, index match)
- Acute sense of linking operational activity to the financial
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with SAP and/or Tableau is a plus
- Prioritizes workload, meets deadlines and manages competing priorities under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be a team player and partner across various functions within an organization
- This position will be in an office and manufacturing environment
