Firm Background:

A well-established, global asset manager looking to hire a VP of Valuations.

The VP will be a joining member, in the build out of the centralized valuation team, supporting the entire firm’s alternatives platform.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely and report to the Head of Valuation
• Work with a variety of asset classes and support the preparation quarterly valuation models and portfolio analytics
• Perform model validation on new valuation models
• Collaborate with finance, IT, risk and other functions about pricing, valuation, P&L and valuation models
• Work with the Head of Valuation in managing the process on market data inputs (yield curve, volatility surfaces, credit curves)
• Work with Technology team to automate current process
• Train and develop others to expand capabilities and capacity of the valuation team

Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of Valuation experience coming out of a service provider or an asset manager
• Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and intermediate to advanced excel capabilities
• Quantitative finance background with knowledge of financial products, specifically in private equity, real estate and lending spaces

Compensation: 

• $175,000 - $225,000 base salary; $275,000 - $300,000 total compensation
