Our client is a technology and media focused asset manager looking to hire a Senior Finance Associate. Daily performance includes performing analytics, financial analysis & reporting, assisting with valuations, portfolio analysis, management presentations for all portfolio companies and proactively looking for opportunities to streamline processes. This role is not a front office position.
This hire will be responsible for:
Position Summary:
- Prepare the quarterly monthly supplemental package and assist in the preparation of the earnings release
- Review annual and quarterly financial results packages, including income statement analysis (budget to actuals, KPIs)
- Assist in the preparation of footnotes to consolidated financial statements and the related workpapers
- Assist as needed with the monthly & quarterly AUM review and reporting process for all funds
- Build and maintain the company models and update models reflect new projections from equity research reports, press releases or other filings relating to fund performance
- Analysis of quarterly valuation, performance, and projections for private equity funds portfolio
- Monitor the portfolio investments by periodically communicating with the deal team to understand how the latest economic trends and real estate developments value
- Face off with IR & Deal team to prepare materials for investor communications or other marketing materials, including financial updates and analyses of product performance, product guidance
- Provide support for public securities offerings and financing transactions
- Coordinate with portfolio operations team for loan and financing accounting decisions
- Participate and assist in the continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Assist with accounting for non-US subsidiaries and joint ventures
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting is essential for a strong foundation in financial principles. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred, but not required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within Asset Management, Real Estate, and/or Public Accounting, demonstrating a proven track record in financial management and accounting practices within these industries.
