Job Description:
Our client, an extremely large and reputable Holding Company in New York, NY is looking for a Financial Systems Manager immediately. The Financial Systems Manager will be responsible for the design, customization, implementation, support and maintenance of Finance and Accounting applications (mainly Adaptive Insights & NetSuite One world) for firm-wide use.
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient financial systems.
- Provide system and process support to GPB’s Consolidation, FP&A and Reporting tools.
- Assist in implementation & roll out of NetSuite.
- Assist in annual budget and forecasts process to ensure the system process is smooth and well-supported.
- Review and analyze spreadsheet-based financial models and re-engineer into Adaptive Insights.
- Accountable for data quality and integrity amongst the various system applications.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting to define the business financial operations requirements, goals, and identify and resolve issues.
- Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal / external reporting requirements.
- Assist in month end and year end tasks.
- Provide guidance and serve as point of escalation for data and system issues and formulate plan to analyze, identify, test and resolve operational issues with the team.
- Interact with business users to gather enhancement requirements and conduct thorough testing to ensure design is optimal and meet business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications document, act as functional expert to challenge soundness of technical design and resource effort.
Job Requirements:
- 5-6 years of experience
- Strong communication skills, as this individual will be communicating with multiple groups
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a must and higher education is strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and SUMMIFS)
- Experience using VPM is a must!
