    Our client, a well-established broker dealer in Manhattan, is looking to bring on a Part-Time Human Resources Generalist to their team. This individual would be responsible for providing day to day support to employees, assisting in the talent acquisition process, helping with open enrollment periods, and verifying new hires’ employment and background check clearances. The role is looking to have someone work around 20 hours per week but could be open to someone working closer to 25-30 hours per week!

     

    This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the financial services world, while also gaining valuable experience within Human Resources!

     

    Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:

    • Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages
    • Administer health and life insurance programs
    • Implement training and development plans
    • Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions
    • Inform employees about additional benefits they’re eligible for (e.g extra vacation days)
    • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
    • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
    • Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly
    • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
    • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation

    Qualifications of the Human Resources Generalist:

    • Desire to work part-time hours
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
    • Ability to start ASAP
