Our client is a leading asset manager hiring a VP Finance. The role will report directly to the head of the group with tons of upside/growth
Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger activities for multiple legal entities, overseeing journal entries, FX/hedge accounting, and accruals.
- Provide consolidated P&L views, quarterly variance analysis, and budget comparisons for management entities.
- Analyze fund-related expenses, collaborate with fund controllers, and present executive summaries during quarterly reporting meetings.
- Partner with FP&A for year-end reconciliation, projections, and preparation of financial statements.
- Develop and customize legal entity financials in Workday, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain management-level reporting, drive data integrity across departments, and lead weekly cash and liquidity analysis.
- Record and manage management fees income, liaising with fund controllers and generating senior management reports.
- Enhance transparency and coordination between corporate accounting, HR, fund accounting, and middle office.
- Play a key role in ongoing Workday maintenance and improvements, documenting processes for training and development of junior staff.
Qualifications:
- 8-15 years of experience in general accounting ,reporting, and analysis
- Workday experience required
- CPA strongly preferred
