    Our client is a dynamic and thriving real estate investment firm currently looking for their next Vice President. As a vital member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our diverse portfolio of real estate debt & equity investments.     Responsibilities:

    As the Controller, you will:

    • Lead and manage the accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements, investor reports, and performance metrics.
    • Collaborate closely with managers, investment teams, and other departments to streamline processes and optimize investment performance.
    • Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, addressing inquiries and providing transparent communication regarding fund financials.
    • Participate in structuring and fundraising activities, providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making.
    • Monitor expenses, cash flow, and budgeting, implementing strategies to enhance cost efficiency.
    • Evaluate valuation methodologies and ensure adherence to industry best practices and relevant accounting standards.
    • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments that could impact financials.
    • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to optimize fund accounting operations and reporting accuracy.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure fund structures and financial activities align with regulatory requirements.
    • Mentor and lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering their growth and development.
    • Manage capital calls and distributions, ensuring alignment with fund strategies and investor expectations.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard fund assets and ensure financial integrity.
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic decisions related to fund performance and growth opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
    • 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity fund accounting and financial management.
    • Strong understanding of fund structures, investment strategies, and financial markets
