Sylvan Learning Center is looking for part time afternoon/evening K-6 certified reading and math school teachers who would like to be part of the team that dramatically improves student's reading and math skills. Sylvan is not a day care center. Do not apply if you are outside the Jacksonville, Florida area. Locations: In your reply, state which center you prefer.to work Sylvan of North Jacksonville: 2255 Dunn Ave, Suite 501 Jacksonville, FL 32218 Sylvan of Orange Park: 1414 Kingsley Ave, Suite 4 Orange Park , FL 32073 Evenings and/or Saturday. 10 to 25 hours available per week. Teachers must have a 4 year education degree and be certified with teaching experience in reading and math for grades K -12. Florida certification preferred, but out of state certification acceptable. No planning required. Sylvan will provide training on Sylvan programs. Applicants must love teaching, communicate well and be able to motivate students. Prefer teachers with at least 2 years of tutoring or classroom teaching in reading or math.
