    POSITION: COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST INTERN - COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S OFFICE

    Full-Time (Maximum 1000 hours)

    LOCATION:  500 W. WINCHESTER ROAD, LIBERTYVILLE

    SALARY: $14.15

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for supporting the Lake County Communications team with a variety of communication and multi-media projects, including writing, designing and developing content for various communication channels. Additional responsibilities may include graphic design and video production.

    The Communications team is committed to communicating and engaging with residents to build relationships and trust– and our contributions can truly make a difference to our employees and residents. Becoming an intern with the Lake County Communications team would allow you to work with dedicated communications professionals who excel in their roles. You will also have the opportunity to interact with leaders within local government, ranging from administrators to elected officials, and staff across 30 departments and divisions.

    In order to be successful in this role you should have recently earned your Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations or Journalism, or Graphic Design; candidates in their junior or senior year of college will also be considered if their schedule allows for at least 30+ of work per week.

     

    Individuals should have excellent verbal communication skills and possess the ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve, as well as have the ability to work both individually and in a team atmosphere.
