SUMMARY

Northline Seafoods is seeking Seafood Processors for the 2024 Bristol Bay Salmon season, with the potential for continued full-time, year around employment based in Bellingham, WA September through May. Seafood Processors will work onboard our 400' salmon freezing barge. Processors will be assigned to a variety of production roles and tasks as laid out below.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE SOME OR ALL OF THE BELOW:

• Fish Purchasing: this may entail assisting fishing boats with tie up, logging catch data, operating cranes to offload fish, servicing fishing vessels, etc
• Sorting & Freezing: Processors will run fish elevators that move salmon from our holding tanks to our freezer lines. Processors may assist in sorting, loading freezer belts, tagging fish and more.
• Case Up & Cold Storage: Processors will take the frozen salmon and place them into totes. These totes are then moved in our onboard cold storage facility.
• All positions will help ensure our barge and production facilities are cleaned daily. Positions will cover additional duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of ages.
• A strong candidate will be reliable, punctual and hard working.
• Must be able to work and stand for long hours – often up to 16 hours a day, seven days a week.
• Must be able to work in cold and wet environments.
• Must be able to make repetitive motions using full body, twisting, bending, lifting, squatting.
• Previous seafood industry experience is a plus but we provide on -the-job training.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally more.
• Must be able to communicate in a way that allows you to understand your job, take direction, adhere to safety requirements. Some positions will require the ability to read and write.
