    Job Description

    The Clinical Psychologist Postdoctoral Fellowship position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
    The position provides direct patient care through therapeutic and educational interventions in individual, group, couples, family and/or milieu settings as clinically indicated.
    The Postdoctoral Fellowship is one year in duration.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conducts initial diagnostic evaluations including assigning of diagnosis and appropriate treatmentrecommendations
    • Provides direct therapeutic care including individual and group therapy
    • Implements therapeutic interventions (psychoeducational, cognitive-behavioral, behavioral, etc.)
    • Documents timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient medical record
    • Attends staff/team meetings
    • Develops and contributes to departmental policies and educational materials as required
    • Collaborates with other departments/programs and external resources as needed
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • The post-doctoral supervised experience comprises 1,750 hours
    • Post-doctoral residency will be completed in a period of 12 months
    • The Postdoctoral Fellow will be under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Psychologist
    • One hours of face-to-face supervision will be provided each week by a Licensed ClinicalPsychologist
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Required:_

    • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA approved graduate program
    • Completion of an internship accredited by APPIC or APA
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with patient and multidisciplinary teams
