    POSITION

    Northwood Advisors is looking for a contract/part-time Project Manager for technical consulting projects. We are looking for a professional with experience in the full range of the project lifecycle, from requirements to testing to development and deployment. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, organized, self-directed and highly innovative. This position will start at 10-20 hours per week with flexible work times and build from there.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with team, gather requirements, define scope, create estimates, plan resources, develop schedule, and track progress
    • Drive project execution and closely monitor progress; ensure project milestones are met; actively manage risk mitigation and issue resolution
    • Analyze changes to scope/requirements/timeline and assess impact to the project delivery
    • Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly project team meetings and working meetings as needed
    • Effectively communicate with management team on project status
    • Understand business problems and opportunities, and document current state and future state process flow diagrams; facilitate process streamlining where appropriate
    • Work with the client, internal team and vendors to recommend solutions that meet business objectives
    • Facilitate test planning and execution; develop go-live cutover plan in collaboration with technical teams

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a consulting environment, managing business application/software projects
    • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills required
    • Proven self-starter: driving projects, making sound executive decisions and resolving issues independently but know when to ask for direction
    • Ideally you are naturally collaborative, flexible and easy-going -- a great team leader and player
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; we value direct, open communication
    • Account management and/or business analyst experience a plus
    • PMP certification a plus
