Position Summary:
The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) General Manager(GM) works with the manager leads the team and collaborates with all employees to drive sales and profitability, execute day-to-day responsibilities and ensure that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests.
Accountabilities/Duties:
• Plan, schedule, and supervise all bakery production and operations to the highest level.
• Hire, train, and develop team members with a focus on our core values, teamwork and leadership.
• Resolve customer complains in a timely and professional manner.
• Create schedules based on production needs.
• Complete bakery administrative tasks, including reporting, ordering inventory and supplies, bake plans, marketing block resets, and other operational tasks.
• Become familiar with franchise brand standards and use the assets and operational information available to ensure bakery items and operations adhere to the established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal.
• Implement new franchise initiatives set forth in weekly communication from the franchise by key dates.
• Sets and maintains safe working practices in the bakery an ensures all food safety requirements are set.
• Develop and implement new procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively to staff, ownership, franchise representatives and customers.
• Facilitates and executes a marketing plan that targets key businesses within the community for marketing cakes and key events for community engagement.
• Uses joy cards, or verbal/written corrective measures when appropriate to ensure employees are praised when they are fulfilling their job expectations.
• Appraise staff performance and carry out the necessary disciplinary action measures to address poor performance.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 2-3 years in a general manager role in food service or retail.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and production related to bakery or kitchen operations strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Apple IOS, and with comfort in learning new technologies.
• Must have a current Food Service Safety Certification or the ability to get certified within 30 days of employment.
Work Availability:
Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.

Compensation range: $35,000 to $50,000 based on background and experience.
