Position Summary:

The position of Graphic Designer for Nothing Bundt Cakes will support the Brand Marketing Team and report to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, organized and has excellent grammar and spelling. This position is unique in that writing skills are required in addition to creative design experience.

Responsibilities:

Produce creative & impactful marketing materials that move the brand forward based on strategic and conceptual vision established in collaboration with the creative agency.

Ensure that the brand is represented consistently across all visual elements and adheres to brand guidelines and best practices.

Find creative solutions to incorporate internal stakeholder feedback on marketing materials.

Collaborate with various teams on special projects such as redesigning packaging, conference branding and concepting cake decoration designs.

Support creative agency and Brand Marketing teams with product and lifestyle photoshoots – from providing pencils to style samples and direction on set.

Work directly with Bakery Owners (franchisees) on local creative marketing needs, including print ads, flyers, billboards, Facebook Ad imagery/copy and email design.

Manage communication with Bakery Owners (franchisees) on local requests, including timelines, invoicing and payments.

Program Facebook Ads for local social media requests.

Write effective on-brand marketing copy for various marketing materials, including print ads, flyers, brochures and more.

Retouch brand imagery (mostly cakes) to ensure that our brand is represented in accordance with our brand standards.

Produce final print materials in proper mechanical layouts and attend press checks.

Respond to the needs and questions of our Bakery Owners (franchisees), directing them to answers and resources or to the appropriate Support Team member.

Maintain organization of all creative files within our internal shared drives.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent English grammar and spelling.

Ability to develop and design marketing materials, including writing simple, impactful copy.

Superb attention to detail and ability to manage many projects in a fast-paced environment where timely follow-up is required.

Excellent file and folder management skills.

Requirements:

BA/BS degree preferred

2-5 years of work experience

Marketing or advertising background is preferred. Agency experience, a plus

Must submit portfolio with resume

Expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)

Photography and video production, a plus (i.e. motion graphics and editorial software)

Expert working knowledge in Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint and Word)

Familiar with AP style writing guidelines, a plus
