We are one of the largest property management companies in Houston. The ideal candidate for Portfolio Analyst should have significant experience in multifamily and mixed-use loans in the United States. You will work with an accomplished team in helping to support investment decisions by providing necessary underwriting, due diligence and credit analysis of newly originated stable and transitional commercial real estate loans. Reporting to the President and CEO of the company. Portfolio Analyst/Associate will be assisting in contingency assessment, financial modeling, underwriting, and financing of development and acquisition of new projects. Assist with the Investment Management and Fund department to model and analyze an individual asset and portfolio performance. Role expands and will involve miscellaneous tasks related to existing projects. Chief responsibilities for Multifamily Analyst include Feasibility Assessment, investor/lender presentation creation, investor/lender support, market analysis, Pro Forma creation and maintenance, and entitlement assessments. Main Functions for the Real Estate Portfolio Multifamily Analyst/Associate

    1. Prior experience working in some capacity in real estate finance, investment, acquisition, or development is preferred.
    2. Experience working with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac loans is a plus.
    3. Create and maintain sophisticated financial models for the firms' funds including projected and historical cash flows.
    4. Dealing with lenders/brokers and finance companies; associates/Brokers and Multi-family analysts
    5. Provide support in multifamily acquisitions, refinancing, and disposition of investments, including due diligence,hold-sale analysis, and closing.
    6. Upkeep quarterly investor reports, financial snapshots, quantitative summaries, and annual plans,
    7. Create economic reports on the national economy utilizing metrics that affect commercial multifamily real estate markets.
    8. Work with third party providers and lenders to ensure completeness and accuracy of third party reports including property appraisals, appraisal reviews, environmental reports, property condition reports, construction feasibility analysis, etc.
    9. Expert Excel modeling skills including dynamic pro formas, sensitivity tables, construction loans, and complex equity waterfalls, distribution models, income statement analysis, and operating cash flow analysis.
    10. Determine cash distributions and requirements for the portfolios and calculate quarterly fair market asset values.
    11. Preparation of internal and external investment memoranda and other presentation materials. Must be able to do graphic details as is needed to prepare polished, professional presentations.
    12. Requirements and other Aspects:

Education Requirements College degree in Commercial Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics or related field Proficiency in the following: Strong modeling skills in Excel (including macros) and preferably third-party tools like Argus, CoStar and REIS Proficient with Argus, CoStar and REIS Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint
