    About the Company:

    NovaBay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company developing products for the eye care market. We are currently focused primarily on commercializing Avenova® for the eye care market in the United States.

    Avenova is the only eye care product formulated with a proprietary, stable and pure form of hypochlorous acid (HOCl). By replicating the anti-microbial chemicals used by white blood cells to fight infection, NovaBay’s proprietary, pure HOCl has proven in laboratory testing to have broad antimicrobial properties. Avenova removes debris including excessive bacteria from the eyelids and lashes without burning or stinging.

    We have developed additional commercial products containing pure HOCl, including our NeutroPhase® Skin and Wound Cleanser for wound care and CelleRx® for the dermatology market. We have partnerships for NeutroPhase in the U.S. as well as select overseas markets, most notably China.

    Summary of Role:

    Responsible for overseeing all Avenova related marketing campaigns, monitoring their performance and return on investment. These marketing programs include both the “direct to consumer” and “Rx only” channels. Strong project management skills required as both direct sales and online sales well be included in this position’s purview. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating and implementing programs to engage target audiences and finding creative ways to spread the message about NovaBay and its products. This position will also be responsible for supporting the field sales team by managing salesforce.com and supplying sales-aids and other marketing material.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of strategic plans that optimize sales, increase market share, and grow revenue for a brand or set of brands in the short and long term.

    To drive consistent execution of product strategies with internal and external cross functional teams.

    To provide high level analysis of potential business opportunities utilizing insights from market research, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and understanding of therapeutic areas for brand area.

    Actively pursues internal and external information and works in collaboration to make decisions that have broad impact.

    Collaboratively develops customer/channel specific marketing strategies by leveraging knowledge of all customer marketing channels and co-promotion partners to add market and brand value.

    Optimizes the promotional mix for a brand based on allocated resources and recognizes the point of diminishing returns and redirects efforts when current approach in not achieving desired outcomes.

    Initiates projects/programs that produce favorable bottom line results while planning robust sales and product supply forecasts.

    Demonstrates a strong acumen in developing, monitoring, and activating social and digital media assets in concert with more traditional print and merchandising tactics.

    Create innovative and fresh customer-facing content for web, mobile app, and email

    Ensure consistency of company voice and tone across all platforms

    Provide content support for NovaBay teams, particularly Sales, Production and Regulatory

    Regularly audit NovaBay’s website to ensure content is up-to-date and consistent with current products offered

    Assist with department specific message development, social media content creation and media outreach

    Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them

    Qualification:

    Bachelor’s degree required plus 5-7 years or more previous direct-to-consumer or consumer product goods (CPG) marketing, or relevant work experience.

    Three of the mentioned years need to be in Marketing.

    Although the position does not require people leadership experience the prior experience in leading projects is preferred.

    Exhibit strong written & verbal communication skills along with excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills

    Demonstrated organization, planning & project management skills along with solid decision making & negotiation skills.

    Proven ability to work on multiple projects & prioritize effectively.

    Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, and creativity and proven track record for innovation. • Show agility with a proven ability to develop and evolve strategic & tactical elements based on research data & industry trends.

    Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.

    Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver results in a highly matrixed organization.

    Proven track record of achieving goals, meeting financial and other quantitative goals.

    Demonstrated success leading new initiatives and facilitating thought processes adoption in a team environment.
