About the Project Interior Designer position
NowSpace is actively seeking to hire a dynamic Project Interior Designer to join the firm in our SF office location as part of our Design & Development team. The role includes designing many new office spaces from start to finish. The candidate will be responsible for a critical element of the NowSpace value proposition: innovative design of the workspace of the future. You will be responsible for preparing design presentations, working drawings including construction details, and product specifications.
The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented, highly-motivated individual seeking progressively more responsible assignments on a variety of projects
Project Interior Designer responsibilities are:
- Design, document, and execute multiple simultaneous high quality projects, by collaborating with all internal and external teams
- Lead the creation of conceptual design for all assigned projects
- Incorporate NowSpace's excellent aesthetic standards, goals, and brand ideals
- Design, coordinate, and document customized spaces when needed
- Communicate regularly to management and the project team with project updates including the status of each project, potential issues , etc.
- Leading full life cycle projects
- Generating creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project
- Translating concepts and information into images
- Participating in the process of exploring and completing usable construction document detailing solutions
- Assisting with contract administration responsibilities
- Collaboratively working with our Development team and internal and external parties to a project
- Support the Real Estate Investment and Development team in the Due Diligence process as needed
- Support the Sales team in providing customized solutions for clients as requested
Project Interior Designer requirements are:
Qualified candidates should exhibit strong organizational, design, detailing and communication skills and be able to collaborate in a diverse project team. Strengths in conceptual design, technical excellence, and communication skills are also desired. Ideal candidates will be well rounded with a flexible attitude and an ability to collaborate in a team environment. A degree from CIDA accredited Interior Design Program is preferred, along with 3+ years of experience. AutoCAD and Revit proficiency required. - Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
