    Location: Philadelphia, PA

    Nspiregreen/CHPlanning Ltd.is recruiting a qualified individual to join our firm as an Aviation Planner based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.     Key Responsibilities

    Duties Include:

    Participate in the development of a comprehensive Airport Master Plan and programs for the utilization of land.

    Consult with others in developing planning strategies to increase airfield capacity as well as improving existing Airport

    Perform research and prepare reports on the economic and environmental impact of proposed plans.

    Perform research, conduct environmental analyses, and develop recommendations.

    Review maps, aerial photos, data, and field investigation reports and interpret and analyze data.

    Prepare maps and other graphic aids using a variety of software.

    Develop technical reports as well as permit applications.

    Liaise with other professionals and multiple stakeholders including elected officials, government agencies and members of the public.

    Plan and attend client and public engagement meetings.

    Perform administrative and project management tasks including:

    Develop scopes of work and contractual documents.

    Prepare monthly reports.

    Manage workload projections and deliverables.

    Perform project scheduling.

    Plan deliverables, monitor and manage project schedules to ensure timely.

    Participate in business development activities.

    Regional travel may be required.

    Public Engagement

    Assist in developing public outreach strategies and techniques.

    Plan and staff community meetings and special events.

    Create public information, outreach materials, community messaging.

    Assist with graphics and document design and managing social media.

    Occasionally attend weekday, evening, and weekend meetings.

    Perform well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, aviation planning or a related field.

    Minimum of five (3) years of experience preferably in a large- or medium-sized hub airport.

    Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams. Project management experience preferred.

    Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

    Strong analytical and organizational skills.

    Ability to analyze and interpret data.

    Familiarity with federal environmental regulations such as the Clean Water Act, National Historic Preservation Act, and Endangered Species Act.

    General knowledge of planning and zoning principles and practices.

    Understanding of federal aviation laws and regulations relating to Airport planning and development.

    Environmental issues relating to airport planning and development.

    Understanding of principles and practices of local government and airport administration

    General knowledge of principles and theory in the practice of airport planning as applied to the design of capital improvement, construction and renovation projects.

    Geometry and trigonometry are required to perform planning work.

    Understanding of architectural/engineering drawings.

    Proficient with MS Office Suite and GIS mapping software

    Experience with Survey monkey and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, illustrator).

    Compensation and Benefits

    Competitive compensation:

    0-2 years of experience starting salary $50,000 / annually.

    3-5 years of experience starting salary $70,000 / annually.

    6-10 years of experience starting salary $83,000/ annually.

    11-14 years of experience starting salary $115,000/ annually
