This internship will begin in January 2020.
This internship aims provide our IT department with any support necessary to assist the team. A significant portion of time will be devoted to helping employees.
In this position, you will be challenged to bring the same dedication, appetite for learning, and professionalism that we expect from all of staff members. You will be expected to master the self-directed IRA educational courses that all new employees must undertake and use that knowledge to the benefit of the team.
NuView IRA serves as a passive administrator that provides custody of alternative assets within retirement accounts. Founded more than 16 years ago in Central Florida, NuView, along with its affiliates, now holds more than $1.3 billion in assets through thousands of accounts throughout the country. With 20% year-over-year client growth, NuView continues to expand at a healthy pace.
Activities:
Provide desktop hardware and software support internal and external staff.
Installing, configuring and testing computer hardware, operating systems and applications, and drivers.
Setup and configure workstations for new employees, relocate and configure workstations.
Test and troubleshoot workstation performance issues.
Catalog and inventory all IT assets.
Assist with internet and phone connectivity issues via third party vendor management
Escalate issues and problems to senior IT staff.

The candidate will have a strong appetite for learning, a willingness to take on responsibility quickly, and a demonstrated desire to serve others. The bottom line is that the candidate will be asked to create a marked positive impact on the IT department and on NuView as a whole.
Specific Skills Required:
Experience with Office programs and cloud-based data storage
Ability to work under deadlines and when faced with critical must-fix issues
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Creative thinker
Curious and inquisitive when faced with new problems
Some related work or school experience
Able to lift up to 30lbs. and willing to work in physically tight spaces (e.g. Under a desk to set up a workstation)
Extreme interest in sales and finance
Excellent communication skills
Strong Excel, Word, and Internet research skills
Available to work during regular business hours (flexible around school schedule)
Junior or senior in college
