  • Responsibilities

    Position Background

    NuView clients execute transactions on a periodic basis, buying and selling assets through their Self-Directed IRA. These transactions are directed by the clients and executed by the IRA Custodian. Each purchase requires a separate funding process, all of which must be accurately documented, reconciled and audited. In addition, all buys, sells, bill-pays, contributions, and distributions pass through the accounting organization for funding and proper record keeping.

    NuView Trust company which is chartered in South Dakota, serves as the governing body to hold and report all assets as required to the IRS and to the responsible SD division of banking.

    The Director of Accounting and Compliance is responsible for the overall oversight and operation of all NuView IRA operational (client) accounting functions, including those functions set aside by the Trust company to be performed in SD. In addition, he/she has responsibility to enhance and maintain the process and procedures whereby client assets are properly protected against fraud and mismanagement, both externally and internally.

    This position will be in charge of performing Trust company reviews, account opening operations, quarterly board meeting preparation, delivering monthly operational reports and support and/or conducting audits. This position may be eligible for a seat at the NuView IRA Senior Management counsel, which will require full participation in setting the goals, prioritizing the resources, establishing policy, and implementing the company’s vision.

    This individual will have five or more direct reports, some of whom also have reports.

    Hours

    This is a full time position. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:30.

    Financial Operations Manager Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership and oversight of accounting and Trust company functions

    Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.

    Develop, implement, review and update operational policies and procedures

    Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations

    Enhance and maintain excellent processes to protect assets from on-line, employee and any other forecastable risk

    Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline employees

    Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions

    Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; Oversee production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

    Florida CPA designation

    3-year minimum demonstrated management experience of financial personnel

    5-year minimum operational accounting experience

    Excellent communication skills

    Embrace and live the NuView core values

    Background in Trust Services operations or Trust Department Management

    Experience with revocable or irrevocable trusts
