    Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

    Overview
    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to aid in the evaluation and diagnosis of various medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results that contribute to patient care.

    Responsibilities

    • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging.
    • Perform and interpret various nuclear medicine scans, including PET scans.
    • Ensure the proper use of aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain patient safety.
    • Collaborate with physicians to discuss scan results and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
    • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and imaging results.
    • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
    • Educate patients about the procedures they will undergo, addressing any questions or concerns.
    • Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices.

    Years of Experience: 1 year(s)

    Certifications: ARRT or NMTCB**, ARRT R, BLS, NMTCB, State licensed

    Requirements

    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to nuclear medicine.
    • Proficiency in nuclear medicine techniques and procedures, including PET scanning.
    • Familiarity with medical imaging technologies and diagnostic evaluation processes.
    • Understanding of physiology as it relates to nuclear medicine applications.
    • Ability to perform aseptic techniques effectively during patient interactions.
    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.

    Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)
