Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, specializing in the use of radioactive materials to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations with precision. The technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results that contribute to patient care.
Duties
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and ensure proper dosage based on individual needs.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including PET scans, to visualize organ function and structure.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations prior to procedures, ensuring understanding of the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a sterile environment by employing aseptic techniques during all procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and assist in developing treatment plans.
- Keep detailed records of procedures performed, including patient information and imaging results.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials.
- Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour
