Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Syracuse VA Medical Center – 800 Irving Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Hours: 20 hours per week (approximately 2–3 shifts per week, based on schedule)
Contract Term: 6-month base contract with 6-month extension option
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour

Position Summary

Allmed Staffing is seeking a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide imaging services in support of Veterans at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. This part-time contract role is responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with VA protocols and radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, cardiac stress tests, GI studies, HIDA scans, and thyroid scans

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established safety guidelines

• Accurately document patient cases in CPRS and PACS systems

• Adhere to all radiation safety standards and VA protocols

• Provide limited on-call coverage as required

• Deliver high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Required Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT (RT-N) certification

• Active, unrestricted state license

• Minimum of three (3) years of nuclear medicine experience

• Experience performing both inpatient and outpatient procedures

• Current BLS certification
