    SUMMARY:  

    The Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal support and assistance to attorneys in the coordination, management, and supervision of all aspects of real estate insurance transactions. Including home sale documents compliance, Project insurance and bonding, and contract management. In addition, the paralegal will be responsible for the Review/analysis of title commitments, underlying recorded title documents, and surveys, and review/abstract leases, and other real estate encumbrance documents. This position requires some contact with contractors and significant communication and coordination with Frontier team members. The paralegal must maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and Frontier matters.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with members of respective business teams on letters of intent and lease requests.
    • Prepare initial drafts of purchase and sale agreements, master service agreements, and other real estate agreements.
    • Assist in all phases of real estate transactions from inception to closing.
    • Drafting of closing documents,  deeds, estoppel certificates, title affidavits, bill of sale, and assignment leases.
    • Review (under attorney supervision and direction) third-party comments to Frontiers real estate and construction contracts and   documentation.
    • Review (under attorney supervision and direction) initial and revised drafts of and extensions, broker agreements, easements, parking agreements, access agreements, and construction contracts.
    • Coordinate title review, execution of real estate agreements, and related closings on new homes and properties.
    • Manage and update document template library, and document tagging system for contracts.
    • Complete or assist on special projects on an as-needed basis.
    • Work together with the other members of the legal department to prioritize items and highlight ongoing issues.
    • Work under attorney supervision, and direction. Procurement of insurance coverage, and bond coverage, for new and ongoing projects.
    • Other duties as assigned

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree and five or more years progressive work experience in the real estate transactional area preferably in a law firm environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Legal research knowledge and the ability to use the law library are required. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited paralegal program a plus.
    • Computer proficient with experience and working knowledge of real estate-related databases, internet research, due diligence, Excel, Outlook, and Word preferred. Applicable knowledge and experience in title and survey review/analysis.
    • Excellent organizational skills including record keeping, data collection, and system information. Ability to compile and analyze data and furnish concise, detailed information in report format, written correspondence, email, or verbally.
