Provides in person support to children and families who are involved with DFCS by providing:
Behavioral modification skills training to children/youth and families in areas of communication skills, healthy socialization skills, anger management, stress management, problem solving, community linkage, crisis intervention, and environmental safety,
In-Home Case Management
Coordinating community services
Advocating for service provisions
Preparing families for reunification
Monitoring placements for safety and stability following reunification.
Basic Behavioral Management for family
Parenting Education/Skills
Developing and discussing life books
Basic Methods of Discipline
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field Human Services degrees which are acceptable: Psychology, Sociology, Counseling , Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)
Or a minimum of 5 years of paid experience in human-services working with children grades K-12th
Ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and work cooperatively with other agency providers.
