    TITLE:                     QA/Tester - Automation (Digital)

    LOCATION:             Grand Rapids, Michigan

    DURATION:            06+ months with extension possible

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION:                                                                                              

    • Selenium and Java experience is Required, Hobbes would be a plus, but not crucial
    • of 5 years of client facing exp. with QA strategy and execution in agile environment with onshore and offshore resources.
    • Strong functional understanding of ecommerce with testing capability for core platform and integrations
    • Strong knowledge of supporting IT infrastructure (networking, load balancers, performance etc.).
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
    • A demonstrated track record of successfully implementing a Q/A and release management practice
    • A roll-up-the-sleeves get-it-done self-directed mindset.
    • Understanding of software development methodologies, platforms and technologies.
    • Prior experience in Q/A best practices and tools, software development tools (Git, IDE, chatops), project management tools (such as Jira/Asana etc)
    • Ability to work in Agile environment

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Building up and leading the Testing strategy and Team for ecommerce project including functional testing, Web Front End, Selinium, System integration testing, UAT, test automation and performance testing
    • Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery in Agile environment.
    • Define test cases based on user stories and create RTM
    • Deploying and managing resources for testing, managing test environments
    • Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team
    • Planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.
    • Experience in QA tools like Selenium, HPQC, JIRA
    • Responsible for installing and executing all processes and procedures to manage code releases/deployments.
    • Work alongside DevOps, Product Owners and technology to coordinate releases, and improve best practices around Q/A and releases.
    • Own overall communication of releases to all stakeholders and participants in the product release.
    • Construct a QA plan in regards to pre and post deploy testing, which includes regression testing. Resolving any blockers all while scheduling around dependencies and deadlines.
    • Help schedule specific releases around dependencies/deadlines.
    • Provide final QA signoff for releases.
    • Continually work alongside product owners to ensure the quality of tickets, and more specifically, the quality of acceptance criteria.
    • Assist with manual regression testing as well as test automation and load testing
