  • Responsibilities

    This position will support, enhance and expand on the current Global Network Planning Systems and Global Time Card Weekly Operations Reporting applications located on  Mainframe platform. Candidate must be strong on the Mainframe TSO/ISPF platform and have knowledge of Cobol, DB2/SQL, Batch and DB2 Stored Procedures, JCL, Easytrieve and Expediter. This position is for an onsite 6 month fixed price position. This supplemental position needs to be right to hire candidate. The selected candidate will be requested to perform a deep dive analysis of the existing mainframe processes, make recommendations for improvements, assist and help prepare for obsolescence activities from the mainframe to distributed platforms, update Mainframe Docutext, provide security remediation activities (e.g. FTP to Secure FTP) and assist with production support activities (including Peak 2018 support). This position will be working within a team, but must be able to work independently and be a strong communicator.

    Required Skills

    The candidate must have experience in using development tools, industry and IS Standards. The position will be responsible for creating support documentation, designs and working within the team to implement the most efficient product possible. This position requires knowledge of the project development life cycle, good oral and written communication, and strong problem solving skills. Must be a self-motivated individual willing to research issues and come up with solutions working under guidance of senior staff. Qualifications include 5-7 years’ experience.
