Sr. Traffic Coordinator

This position contributes to the overall success of the facility by analyzing sales orders and coordinating the traffic department to meet shipping/delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all batches and sales orders are managed in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to include: creation, carrier notification, customer coordination and liaison with distribution shipping
• Ensure proper communication/ coordination between distribution, traffic, and customer service elements, to facilitate orders are available to meet or exceed on-time shipping metrics and order accuracy goals
• Monitor all orders in ‘ready to release’ status to ensure timely processing and execution
• Ensure proper communication for all traffic issues with appropriate contacts; i.e., order management, sales management, issue resolution, etc.
• Work with operations to address problems and/or procedure violations that may prevent the meeting of set goals and timely creation and execution of orders
• Ensure vendor compliance guidelines are updated and maintained
• Provide weekly highlights to Operations Manager as applicable
• Follow and enforce all safety rules, policies and procedures
• Provide training for newly hired associates
• Any other duties as assigned by Manager
• Retrieve routing instructions for all orders via phone, e-mail, fax and websites
• Proactively ensure that issues that prevent the timely creation and execution of orders are addressed.
• Work with operations to address problems and/or procedure violations
• Achieve or exceed order accuracy goals
• Ensure vendor compliance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, Required
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Traffic or Traffic related jobs, Required
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with Warehouse Management Systems, Required
