    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Algorithmic Development: Design and implement deep learning algorithms for robust financial data analysis.

    • Modeling and Forecasting: Develop predictive models using AI techniques to forecast market trends and asset prices.

    • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, utilizing statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.

    • Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks through the development of quantitative models and risk management strategies.

    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into trading strategies.

    • Research and Development: Stay updated on AI and deep learning advancements to enhance existing models and propose innovative solutions.

    • Programming: Proficiently code in Python, R, or MATLAB to implement and test quantitative models.

    • Advanced Backtesting: Develop sophisticated backtesting models, prioritize recent data, and allow dynamic adjustments based on market conditions, enabling granular historical performance analysis with manual assignment of weights.

    • Real-time Parameter Adaptation: Utilize AI techniques to create adaptive algorithms, dynamically adjusting key parameters in real-time for diverse trading environments.

    • Impact Analysis on Market Sentiment: Implement NLP techniques for sentiment analysis and integrate insights into algorithmic strategies based on market sentiment.

    • Market Behaviour Identification: Use data analysis and machine learning to proactively identify and navigate market anomalies.

    Advanced Backtesting

    * Leverage AI to develop a sophisticated backtesting model that can take into account a lot of price history while prioritizing more recent data and also allowing for dynamic adjustments in weighting based on market conditions (example - automatically reducing weighting for outliers such as periods of extreme black swan event driven volatility).
    * Fine-tune the backtesting model to provide flexibility in manually assigning weights to specific years, enabling a granular analysis of historical performance. Implement functionality to selectively emphasize or exclude particular years, providing a customizable approach to historical data analysis.
    * Based on insights garnered from backtesting, suggest improvements to the strategy logic being backtested (whether use of different indicators, inputs, triggers etc.)  
    

    Dynamic adjustment of Parameters

    * Utilize AI techniques to create adaptive algorithms capable of dynamically adjusting key parameters in real-time based on changing market conditions.
    * Ensure the algorithms are responsive to varying volatility, liquidity, and other market dynamics, providing adaptability in diverse trading environments.  
    

    Sentiment Analysis for Fundamental Events

    * Implement natural language processing (NLP) techniques to extract and analyze sentiment from textual data in reports related to key fundamental events. Using this insight, assign a weighting on these events from bullish to bearish sentiments.
    * Integrate the sentiment model as an input into algorithmic strategies, enabling the algorithms to incorporate market sentiment in decision-making processes.  
    

    Identification of Market Anomalies

    * Employ data analysis and machine learning techniques to identify situations in the market where a majority of participants are positioned in the same direction.
    * Implement anomaly detection mechanisms that contribute to a proactive approach in navigating market conditions and capitalizing on contrarian opportunities.
    

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Master's or Ph.D. in quantitative finance, financial engineering, computer science, or a related field.

    • Proven experience applying deep learning techniques and trading algorithms to financial markets.

    • Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.

    • In-depth understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
