Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) Department: Clinical / Medical Practice Reports To: Supervising Physician
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of medical conditions. Working collaboratively with the physician and clinical team, the NP delivers patient-centered care focused on prevention, wellness, and evidence-based treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical histories and physical examinations
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations
Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice
Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Ensure compliance with medical regulations, clinical protocols, and safety standards
Clinical Duties
Preventive health screenings and annual wellness visits
Chronic disease management (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, hormone imbalance)
Diagnostic evaluation and treatment of patient symptoms
Review and interpretation of laboratory and imaging results
Patient counseling on nutrition, lifestyle, and health optimization
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program
Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
