Empowered Health is seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to provide integrated primary care services within a behavioral health setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care to individuals receiving mental health and/or substance use disorder services. This position is ideal for a new or early-career Nurse Practitioner seeking hands-on experience, mentorship from a seasoned CRNP, and the opportunity to build a strong and consistent patient panel within a supportive, team-based environment. Responsibilities: Clinical Care • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments , including history and physical exams • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions • Provide ongoing primary care services to behavioral health clients • Order, interpret, and document laboratory tests and diagnostic studies • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) • Provide and manage MAT services (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone) for individuals with substance use disorders • Monitor patient progress, adherence, and response to treatment • Collaborate with behavioral health clinicians to support recovery-oriented care Care Coordination • Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and support staff • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings • Coordinate referrals to specialty care as needed • Support continuity of care between medical and behavioral health services Documentation & Compliance • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR) • Ensure documentation meets Medicaid, CARF, and state regulatory standards • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities Patient Engagement & Education • Provide health education on chronic disease management, wellness, and prevention • Promote patient engagement in both medical and behavioral health treatment plans • Support individuals in understanding their diagnoses and treatment options Qualifications: Required • Active Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) license in the State of Maryland • Current DEA registration • Board certification (FNP, ANP, or related specialty) • Current CPR/BLS certification Preferred • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or primary care • MAT waiver (DATA 2000 / X-waiver) or willingness to obtain • Knowledge of Medicaid billing and documentation standards Skills & Competencies • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills • Interest in integrated care and whole-person treatment • Ability to work in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care Compensation: $75 - $100 hourly
