Job Summary Our client is seeking a compassionate, autonomous, and clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner to join a growing Private Practice in Rockville, Maryland. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

You will play a pivotal role in managing chronic conditions, providing preventative care, and treating acute illnesses. You will also have direct access to a Board-Certified Physician on call for additional support.
Duties
Clinical Care:
Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and obtain detailed medical histories for new and returning patients.
Diagnose and manage acute illnesses (e.g., respiratory infections, UTIs, minor injuries) and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders).
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including lab work, X-rays, and EKGs.
Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies in accordance with Maryland state regulations and practice protocols.
Perform minor office procedures (e.g., I&D, pap smears, cryotherapy) as needed.
Patient Education & Coordination:
Counsel patients on preventative health, lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and disease management.
Coordinate care with specialists, including referrals to the robust network of providers in the Rockville/Bethesda/DC area.
Review incoming lab results and communicate findings to patients in a timely manner.
Administrative & Compliance:
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (e.g., Epic, Athena, NextGen).
Adhere to HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and Maryland Board of Nursing guidelines.
Participate in peer reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and monthly clinical staff meetings.
Education & Licensure:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the State of Maryland.
National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) in Family Practice (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP).
Active Maryland CDS registration and DEA license.
Current BLS/ACLS certification.
Note: 1099 Contractor Position (20 Hours Per Week - Monday thru Friday)
