    Position Overview

    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary and urgent care at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a minimum-security federal prison camp for female inmates in rural southeastern West Virginia. You will manage a panel of female inmates, conducting assessments, chronic care visits, women's health screenings, and intake evaluations under physician collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
    • Manage chronic disease clinics and women's health screening programs
    • Perform intake physical examinations including gynecological assessments
    • Prescribe medications per BOP formulary guidelines
    • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
    • Provide urgent care and coordinate transfers
    • Document encounters in the BOP electronic health record
    • Participate in quality assurance and infection control

    Required Qualifications

    • MSN with NP certification or Master of PA Studies
    • National certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA)
    • Active, unrestricted West Virginia license (or ability to obtain)
    • Active DEA registration
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification
    • U.S. citizenship required
    • Ability to pass federal background investigation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Women's health NP certification (WHNP)
    • Correctional healthcare experience

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 annually
