    Key Responsibilities

    Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.

    Assess and diagnose a variety of illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.

    Initiate, review, revise, and manage treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.

    Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and screening procedures.

    Prescribe medications and medical devices within scope of licensure and DEA registration.

    Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up needs.

    Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services as appropriate.

    Complete medical record documentation accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policy.

    Conduct medical record reviews to support accuracy, compliance, and continuity of care.

    Ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, OSHA, and all applicable federal and California healthcare regulations.

    Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and medical staff meetings as needed.

    Work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, office leadership, and administrative teams.

    Required Qualifications

    Current and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.

    Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

    Current DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start.

    Board certification in applicable specialty, such as Family Practice or Primary Care.

    Current CPR/BLS certification.

    Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a similar clinical setting preferred.

    Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team.

    Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced primary care environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with chronic care management, preventive care, and adult primary care.

    Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely chart completion standards.

    Prior experience working in a multi-provider primary care office.

    Strong understanding of California healthcare compliance requirements.
