NURSE PRACTITIONER:

Location: San Antonio, TX (Clinic-Based)
Practice: Root Causes Integrative Medicine

About the Role

Root Causes is seeking a compassionate, clinically grounded Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our general practice programs. This role works under the supervision of our Medical Director.

The ideal candidate is someone who values team-based medicine, patient education, and continuity of care—especially for patients navigating complex oncology journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide delegated patient care for patients, including follow-ups and symptom support
• Reinforce individualized care plans and educate patients on treatment recommendations
• Support patients experiencing side effects related to conventional oncology care
• Monitor progress and escalate concerns appropriately within the care team
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity and clarity of care
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in alignment with practice standards

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Texas (or eligible for Texas licensure)
• At least two (2) years of direct prescriber experience in family medicine, internal medicine or emergency medicine
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
• Organized, dependable, and collaborative
