    Lead Wound Care Nurse Practitioner

    Pay: $130,000 to $150,000 annually plus benefits.

    Bonus plan with this position based on performance.

    Area to be served: Oakland and Monroe Counties of Detroit, MI.

    Milage Paid: $1,000 per month.

    Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wound care management and a strong background in various medical specialties. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex wound care needs, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

    Duties

    Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for wound management.

    Perform advanced wound care procedures, including suturing, IV infusion, and catheterization.

    Administer botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers as needed.

    Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and patient records management.

    Collaborate with healthcare professionals in critical care settings, including ICU and Level I/II trauma centers.

    Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care practices and prevention strategies.

    Participate in clinical research initiatives related to wound healing and management.

    Conduct triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room settings.

    Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and medication administration.

    Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

    Skills

    Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge relevant to wound care.

    Strong clinical skills in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health.

    Experience with various medical procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, specimen collection/processing, and airway management.

    Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT coding for accurate medical billing.

    Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent complications during treatment.

    Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.

    Experience with telehealth services to provide remote patient consultations when necessary.
