    • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT) and laboratory studies; develop and communicate evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
    • Serve as first or second surgical assist in procedures such as joint replacement, arthroscopy, fracture fixation, and soft tissue repair; apply casts, splints, and braces as clinically indicated.
    • Manage postoperative patients including wound care, suture and staple removal, monitoring for complications, and coordinating physical therapy referrals and follow-up imaging.
    • Perform in-office procedures including joint and soft tissue injections (corticosteroid, PRP), aspiration, and minor laceration repair.
    • Prescribe medications, DME, and rehabilitation protocols within scope of practice; provide thorough patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery expectations.
    • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EMR system (Athena); manage prior authorizations, referrals, and coordination with ancillary care teams.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize the workload
    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
    • ANCC or AANP certification
    • Active Virginia APRN license (or eligibility to obtain)
